The Role
As part of SSEN Transmissions Offshore Portfolio, join our Offshore AC Project Engineering team to support Island projects, connecting HVDC systems with advanced AC plant and grid technology in challenging environments.
Responsibilities
- Assess and define protection and control requirements for substations.
- Prepare design schemes, diagrams, relay settings, and IEC61850 solutions.
- Review designs, witness FAT, and support installation quality.
- Evaluate tenders and manage specialist services.
- Support project teams in risk management and opportunity identification.
Qualifications & Skills
- HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Technical skills in transmission protection and control design.
- Ability to assess technical problems and solutions critically.
- Good communication skills and knowledge of legislation like CDM and ESQCR.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards it, with support for professional development.
