Job Description:

Joining Arup

Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

As part of the Climate and Sustainability business, our consultants have extensive expertise in carbon management. Arup has been involved in numerous projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and promoting sustainable practices.

As the UK Government’s sustainability consultant for COP26, Arup developed a Carbon Management Plan and established a sustainable supply chain. We supported the G7 Summit 2021 in achieving ISO 20121 certification and delivering a carbon-neutral event.

For Queen\’s University Belfast, we devised a Net Zero Plan, provided decarbonisation services for Northern Ireland Water, and developed emissions monitoring tools for VisitScotland. We also collaborated with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority on an emissions pathway analysis tool.

For major infrastructure projects such as TRU and The Holyhead Hydrogen Hub, our consultants drive carbon improvements as part of wider design teams.

Shaped by our engineering heritage and informed by our wide range of technical skills, our multidisciplinary approach allows us to tackle complex sustainability challenges and deliver impactful results.
