Our client, a dance music management company, is seeking a savvy Social Media & Digital Content Strategist to engage audiences with creative content ideas for the company’s dynamic roster of artists.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Generating ideas for content formats, forging viral moments and capitalising on trends.
- Supporting artist managers with their digital and social media rollout plans for tracks, gigs, and the artist’s activities.
- Crafting flexible content calendars that correspond to the artist’s schedule.
- Collaborating with the artist, artist managers, videographers, and BTS teams to capture moments from the studio and headline shows.
- Timing social media posts and optimising them for the greatest impact.
- Attracting attention from fans with comments, DMs, inside jokes, or surprise drops.
- Using analytics to lean into what has impact and modifying strategies where there can be improvement.
- Ensuring the branding is consistent and remains authentic.
Requirements:
- Previous experience handling artist social media, or for a label, brand, or creator.
- Experience with launching music releases/tours/merchandise is advantageous.
- Genuine enthusiasm and interest in music culture, particularly the dance scene.
- Thorough understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and possess a knowledge of what makes impact on those platforms.
- Creative approach and able to generate interesting ideas to action.
- Capable of adapting plans and keeping pace.
- Strong communicator and personable, able to work well with the wider team and the artist.
- Strategic thinker, able to use analytics to refine content planning.
- Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express is desirable.
- Experience shooting and editing content is advantageous.
- Previous experience on paid ads or content boosting is desirable.
