Amentum are the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.
Our Nuclear team provides the front end design and engineering capability across the PPP portfolio. Being part of the PPP Team offers a unique opportunity to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK if not the world. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges.
We are currently recruiting for a HVAC Design Engineer to support the HVAC Capability team in all aspects of HVAC and Building Services, preferably with knowledge and experience in nuclear design, specifically the delivery of the design of HVAC Systems or modification to existing HVAC Systems. Able to be client facing and demonstrate confidence as a subject matter expert hence able to support all stakeholders. The successful candidate will be utilised on various projects within the PPP framework, which will enable them to gain experience in a variety of facility types.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of work packages assigned to time and budget.
- Production of deliverables (2D drawings and 3D modelling) to meet the system requirements.
- Satisfying legal and functional requirements.
- Co-ordination with other disciplines, including clash detection.
- Attend and input into regular model reviews.

Requirements:
- Be qualified or experienced in appropriate engineering discipline.
- Have experience of using 3D modelling software such as REVIT or Aveva E3D.
- Possess qualifications using 3D modelling software.
- Possess good communication skills, and able to work as part of a team.
- Production of Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFDs).
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role/environment.
