We are currently looking for Class 1 General Haulage Drivers to join our General Haulage team based in Longtown . We currently have opportunities to work on dayshift or nightshift on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. In this role, you will deliver a professional and efficient LGV driving service, undertaking deliveries and collections of products on behalf of Wm Armstrong Group. You will comply with all relevant legislation including WTR and Drivers Hours Rules, load security, vehicle weights and dimensions and the Road Traffic Act, ensuring the safety of yourself and other road users at all times. You will also keep in regular contact with the office teams for updates on progress and managing customers expectations. To be successful in this role you will be a real team player, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and good geographical knowledge. You must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence, a current CPC card and digital tachograph card. Experience and knowledge of the haulage industry would be advantageous, but training may be available for the right candidate. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! In return we offer: attractive salaries of £30,656 for dayshift and £34,290 for nightshift including meal allowance*, with opportunities for additional overtime shifts paid at enhanced rates. In this role you will work dayshift or nightshift hours, 12 hours per day on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
