Our client is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant for a 6-month contract role based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the Product Control team, which sits within Fund Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, reconciliation, and validation of data in their in-house data warehouse, ensuring accuracy and integrity across various data points. This role also offers leadership responsibilities, including working alongside the CTO to deploy tactical software solutions and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Manage the backloading processes of historical data into the in-house Nexus data warehouse
- Maintain data quality within Nexus through ongoing BAU activities
- Provide operational support to existing processes and systems
- Actively manage Nexus daily and monthly reconciliations of P&L, NAV, positions, instrument definitions, and derived metrics (IRR, TVPI etc.)
- Validate accuracy and consistency of instrument definitions and pricing data
- Lead tactical projects aimed at enhancing efficiency through the deployment of new or upgraded software solutions within Nexus and other associated systems
What you bring:
- Extensive knowledge of credit instruments including Loans (RCFs, PIKs), Bonds, Repos as well as equities and derivatives
- Solid understanding of hedge fund accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel including complex data manipulation
- Experience working with sophisticated data warehouse products
- Familiarity with PMS platforms ideally Sentry or Paladyne
- Experience managing integration between multiple data sources and systems
