At Checkout, we’re rethinking how we “do data”. To ensure our solutions are scalable and our data is reliable, we’re moving towards a streaming pipeline approach, enabling Real Time analytics and reporting capabilities for data users across the business that rely on this to understand how our payments are performing, behaving and more.
This role will sit in the Finance Transformation Team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Treasury Systems. The purpose of this team is to enable the Finance Team to deliver on Checkout.com’s objectives through system implementations, process re-engineering (covering controls and risk management) and operating model design. You will work closely with the Treasury Team to deploy enhancements to our Treasury Management System (“TMS”), Kyriba, and identify process improvements, ensuring a strong control framework. You will play a key role in transforming our back office finance and treasury systems through project management and process design.
What you will be doing:
- Enhancing our Treasury Management System (“TMS”), Kyriba.
- Identifying system and process improvements with the Treasury team.
- Designing and implementing enhancements to finance and treasury systems to support growth.
- Supporting key projects and initiatives.
- Creating project artefacts, plans, RAID logs, RACIs, and reporting progress.
- Challenging processes and working with the Treasury team to implement best practices, automation, and reporting enhancements.
- Ensuring IT General Controls are in place for system change management.
Qualifications:
- Experience in finance transformation projects involving system implementation and process re-engineering.
- Project management skills including planning, RAID logs, RACIs, and cross-functional execution.
- Understanding of ITGCs, system change, and access controls, with evidence of effectiveness.
- Ability to educate stakeholders on treasury processes and their business impacts.
- Knowledge of banking requirements related to merchant, funding, and operational payments, especially ISO20022.
- Understanding of systems, banking, and integration approaches.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Process mapping, risk, and control outlining skills.
- Ability to translate technical expertise into practical solutions and process guidance.
- Experience in data analysis, manipulation, and reporting.
- Good knowledge of Treasury Management Systems, especially Kyriba.
- Self-starter with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of key system controls.
