A market leading, proprietary trading firm are looking to hire a London based senior operations analyst. Sat between the London head of operations and analysts in the team, as a more senior team member, the hire will take lead for the firm’s flagship European strategy. Whilst there are no management responsibilities, the hire will have some oversight of the juniors and he/she will be the main point of contact for the investment team (leading PM’s/Traders for the flagship strategy).

Many back office / operations tasks are outsourced, so hands-on tasks are often highly analytical and/or will be oversight focused – the hire can expect to manage relationships with multiple external service providers. Project work is highly prominent - the hire will have an opportunity to be taught VBA, SQL and Python to take part in major buildout initiatives. As a minimum, he/she will project manage juniors on existing programmes.

Candidates should have 5-10 years experience in hedge fund / IB / prop trading operations. Strong academics and tech skills are essential. The role is paying an £80-120k base and a 50% bonus potential for a strong performer (a variable either side of this is possible pending individual performance). The firm will fully subsidise qualifications such as IMC, CFA, CIMA and CQF. Breakfast and lunch + gym membership are also fully subsidised.
