The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
We are looking for a skilled Middleware Engineer with expertise in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and IBM MQ. The responsibility will be to work on the architectural design, administration, configuration, and migration of Java applications from WebSphere Application Server version 6.0 to either IBM WebSphere Application Server version 8.5 or 9.0. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring MQ Queue Managers to ensure seamless integration between applications and messaging systems.
Skills and experience needed:
- Extensive experience in architecting, administrating, and configuring IBM WebSphere Application Server versions 8.5 or 9.0, with a strong understanding of its components and features.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with IBM MQ versions 7.5 or 9.2, including configuration and management of Queue Managers.
- Proven track record in migrating Java applications from WebSphere Application Servers and ensuring a smooth transition and minimal impact on business operations.
This is a remote-based position that is due to start ASAP. Only applicants that have an active SC Clearance would be considered due to the urgency of the position.
