About your mission! – Make an impact We\’re seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong Kafka expertise to join our growing team. This role will focus on managing and optimizing our Kafka infrastructure while also contributing to our internal developer platform initiatives. As a Senior engineer, you will be expected to shape Kafka strategy, interact with developer teams, solve production issues and introduce best practices. How You’ll Drive Success – Manage Kafka clusters running in Kubernetes environments – Implement and maintain Kafka connectors and MirrorMaker2 – Develop automation for Kafka lifecycle management – Implement necessary security measures – Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka infrastructure – Contribute to our internal developer platform initiatives – Support development teams with all Kafka-related questions – On-duty: Based on your general skills, assist with maintaining our Kubernetes platform (up to 1 day per week) – Assist developers with onboarding to Kubernetes What makes you the perfect fit – Strong experience with Kafka in production environments – Knowledge of MirrorMaker2 and Kafka Сonnectors – Experience with Kubernetes operators and CRDs, particularly Strimzi – Basic network diagnostics skills – Knowledge of Kafka security configurations (SSL, SASL, ACLs) – Knowledge of Kafka replication mechanisms and data consistency – Experience working with high-throughput Kafka deployments – Expertise in Kafka performance tuning and latency reduction -Experience with JVM tuning for Kafka brokers Preferred Qualifications : – Knowledge of ClickHouse database – Proficiency with Linux administration – Experience with using self-hosted Kubernetes clusters – Experience with Kafka Streams – Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management – Experience with Docker and containerization – Experience with Prometheus and Grafana monitoring stacks (dashboards) – Experience with multi-region or multi-datacenter Kafka deployments – Practical experience with Schema registry – Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies for Kafka clusters It’ll also be an advantage if you have experience in: – Finance experience or knowledge of Trading – Knowledge of TradingView We also love users who become teammates!
