Director of Account Based Marketing (ABM)

We are expanding our global Growth Marketing team at Smartly and are looking for a passionate marketing professional to join us!

As the Director of Account Based Marketing, you will support Smartly by leading ABM efforts to identify market growth opportunities, with high visibility across corporate leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to run a world-class program covering North America and Europe. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Event Marketing, Paid Media, and SDRs to build scalable programs. Use your expertise to be recognized as the ABM subject matter expert and set best practices for implementation.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Design scalable ABM programs by partnering with Sales leadership and the VP of Growth Marketing to identify focus areas that will drive revenue.
  2. Develop programs around ABM 1:1, 1:Few, and 1:Many, executing targeted, region-specific, integrated campaigns for key accounts in collaboration with sales and product marketing.
  3. Own and optimize the use of 6Sense across Sales and Marketing to identify and reach target accounts.
  4. Partner with SDRs to translate growth marketing campaigns into account outreach strategies and content.
  5. Innovate by delivering creative ways to engage target accounts and stand out in the market.
  6. Leverage AI tools to enhance content creation and website optimization.
  7. Work with content marketing to inform content strategy, develop campaign-specific messaging, and align with ongoing copywriting initiatives.
  8. Oversee the development of campaign materials, including landing pages, direct mailers, and gifting, to maximize impact.
  9. Provide comprehensive reporting and analytics to demonstrate ABM impact on revenue, define metrics, develop dashboards, and perform ad-hoc analyses.
  10. Manage budgets, evaluate new tools, and build a best-in-class ABM practice.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in tech, preferably SaaS, with at least 3 years of proven ABM campaign management.
  • Experience with ABM platforms such as 6Sense, Demandbase, or Terminus.
  • Understanding of multiple buyer personas, including senior decision-makers, with tailored messaging and collateral.
  • Strong analytical skills to derive insights and apply data-driven metrics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Experience in planning and executing multi-touch campaigns, including offline and online nurture programs and paid acquisition.
