Team: Data Centre Commissioning Programme

As a Senior Cx Technical Project Manager at this leading construction & property, you’ll provide coordination, oversight, and support to ensure successful commissioning of systems across data centre schemes. Your primary objectives are to:

  • Drive commissioning progress on behalf of the client without compromising the independence of the Commissioning Authority (CxA).
  • Produce weekly Commissioning Management Reports to highlight technical and logistical issues, identify improvements, and ensure continuity.
  • Engage early with the operations team to assess training needs, manage the training programme, and ensure knowledge transfer aligns with design intent and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and the CxA to review and coordinate commissioning activities, ensuring all necessary resources and approvals are in place ahead of testing.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to documentation protocols, maintain up-to-date and auditable commissioning records, and manage platform data backups in alignment with project standards.

The CxA will remain responsible for final document reviews and approvals.

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Hands-on experience with electrical audits, mechanical system reviews, system start-up, and full commissioning.
  • Strong background in construction project quality control, including the development and management of commissioning plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, switchgear, generators, and critical mechanical systems.
