The Opportunity: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Quality team. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and compliance of materials and components from a diverse global supplier base, helping to drive supplier performance and product excellence in complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment on quality expectations and standards.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance reviews in accordance with industry regulations (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) activities for supplier-related non-conformances.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, procurement) to resolve supplier quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Support new supplier onboarding, qualification, and PPAP/FAI processes.
- Drive process improvements and risk mitigation strategies across the supply chain.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering role within regulated industries (Aerospace, Aviation, Mining, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and tools such as AS9100, ISO 9001, PPAP, FAI, APQP, and 8D.
- Experience in auditing and working with international suppliers.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Engineering or technical background preferred (HNC/HND/Degree level).
