The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with extensive international travel (up to 80% of the time) required. We offer a relocation package to individuals outside UAE.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent role

Monthly Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Perform installations, inspections, aftermarket upgrades, and field works on turbines and be responsible for directing supervisors and craft labor to perform those works.
  • Manage, perform, and coordinate the Steam turbine and heavy duty gas turbine installations and overhauls.
  • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troubleshoot the equipment.
  • Provide customers and contractors with technical direction and support during installation and outage execution.
  • Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets timely and thoroughly.
  • Sign off on all changes implemented during overhauls.
  • Assure work executed aligns with technical requirements and company safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance support to the Customers.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages.
  • Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site.
  • When not on the field project, you may be assigned to other duties to help drive DeveEnergy market growth, including but not limited to remote support of our Customer base, reports reviews, maintenance documentation preparations, outage planning support, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness and understanding of the gas and steam turbines, issues, and associated corrective actions.

Special considerations:

  • Extensive international travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and beyond standard working hours as required by field assignments.

Required qualifications & experience:

  • A technical university degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience working on GE gas and steam turbine technology, installation, maintenance, or a High School / GED diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a steam turbine and gas turbine field service installation or equipment maintenance role.
  • Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) field engineering training or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding and technical knowledge of steam turbines, gas turbines and associated equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of GE parts identification using BOM and drawings, for gas and steam turbines.
  • Knowledge of standard installation procedures and outage scopes, repair procedures, and practices.
  • Technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams.
  • Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.
  • English proficiency required.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience (OEM) on General Electric heavy-duty gas turbines and steam turbines.
  • Field service experience (OEM or recognized ISP) on other manufacturers' heavy-duty gas turbines will be an additional advantage.
  • Familiarity with borescope equipment, dial and laser alignment techniques, and thermal growth equipment. The technical competence in using the above will be an additional advantage.
  • Strong oral and written interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • IT proficient with web applications.
  • Familiarity with the project management software.
  • Willingness to work in the “start-up” environment.
