The Carbon Strategy team and the Communities and Sustainability team collaborate across all business functions to achieve key environmental objectives and targets as part of this strategy. The Environment Manager will assist the Carbon Strategy Team in developing, monitoring, and managing effective approaches to carbon reduction and air quality improvement. This role emphasizes technical work and internal stakeholder engagement to support successful implementation.
Your role will involve:
- Providing technical support (primarily on carbon and nature/waste/water) to colleagues in the carbon strategy team and the communities and sustainability team as well as the wider business.
- Undertaking analysis and research to contribute to the development and implementation of Heathrow’s strategies to manage environmental impacts.
- Inputting to Heathrow development plans and capital investment projects on environmental issues as required, working to reduce impacts and maximise opportunities.
- Monitoring and measure environmental issues for internal or external reporting as required, supporting the Emissions and Sustainability Data Lead where relevant.
- Establishing collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business, including engineering, retail, finance, procurement.
- Working with the Head of Carbon Strategy and key business units on delivery of Heathrow’s Net Zero Plan.
