Location: Geel, Frankfurt, Gentilly, Waterford Our Team: This department is part of the Global Engineering, and will be supporting the EMEA region to deliver capital projects by performing engineering studies for Tiers 1 & 2 Projects & Programs with the support of all engineering eco system (project controls, automation, site engineering) and relevant stakeholders. This department will support clusters as well on project execution and other tasks like peers & gate reviews. Main responsibilities: Project delivery Lead studies for all Tiers 2 projects (5 to 15M€) and lead and/or support of Tiers 1 project with project support group for EMEA M&S sites and external manufacturing. Identify with project manager the appropriate staffing for the project organization. Ensure that Engineering, EHS, Quality standards are implemented & validated before execution focus on design to cost solutions. Define contract model for Engineering studies Collaborate transversally with Global functions & Sites to define for each key project steps optimized solutions. Apply project management and standards and contribute to community of practices. Leverage Global Engineering expertise & know-how to support Project Delivery leader on specific & complex technical challenges. Strengthen overall leadership and organizational capabilities within the team to ensure all key competencies are available. Build and sustain high performance team with a focus on transmission from leader and expert to newcomers. Anticipate, confirm & communicate project risks on & across the site. Assist Site teams (Operations & Quality) & MSAT during PQ & validation activities before full handover. Project & Maintenance activities Ensure risk analysis, FMEA including Digital for critical assets is deployed during the project to ensure a relevant preventive & predictive maintenance plan is ready before start-up. Ensure assets reliability and maintainability by design. Project & sustainability key input Ensure that by CO2 emission, energy and utilities are as lower as possible by design assuming that for a new building or extension (HVAC included), target is zero emission. Ensure planet care group targets. About you Experience : 10+ years expertise in senior Engineering, medium / large project management and managing Position (Site, Country, or regional responsibility) Corporate function: A plus with at least five years Expertise at global or cross-functional level with a high-level management position Soft skills : Collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders, partners across the organization to positively impact business results. Act for change and innovation, initiating new and improved ways of working. Develop teams in anticipation of future business needs. Develop Performance through pragmatic approach. LEAN oriented, problem solving & new way of working. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. Open minded and curios to learn new tools. Projects Portfolio Management, Large project execution, Leadership skills demonstrated with successful & managing transversal international team. 10+ years of experience in management / execution of large capital investments in the biopharmaceutical industry 10+ years of experience in engineering, design of bio/pharma process unit operations and facilities operations Education : Master of Science Engineering or equivalent degree, Project management background required. Pharmaceutical & Bio-Tech facility start-up and /or manufacturing position experience. Languages : Fluent in English spoken and written compulsory
