ADAS, part of the RSK Group, is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Planning Consultant on a full-time, permanent basis. This role can be based on a hybrid working arrangement at their Leeds office. ADAS provides ecology, arboriculture, archaeology, planning, and landscape services to a growing client base across multiple sectors.
Experience required:
- A full driving licence and flexibility regarding work type, timing, and location.
- Formal qualification in Town and Country Planning (Masters/Postgraduate/First Degree).
- Full membership or eligibility for full Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
- Relevant experience/skills, preferably within the private sector.
- Excellent knowledge of Town & Country Planning regulations and processes in planning policy and development management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide planning consultancy services to public, private, and third-sector clients.
- Manage planning projects, including leading planning applications, site promotions, appeals, and managing financial aspects like invoicing and budgets.
- Review and comment on technical reports.
- Prepare planning applications, draft Planning Statements, and conduct site visits.
- Coordinate with technical consultants, statutory consultees, and Planning Officers.
- Participate in public speaking at planning committees and consultation events as needed.
