Our client is a family of 17 schools across Warwickshire and Worcestershire, all part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. They aim to create new ways of working as people from across different schools with unique skills and a wide range of experiences come together to provide the highest quality of education for every child and young person we serve.
They are seeking a Director of Governance & Policy to support the Board of Directors and the executive team. As Director of Governance and Policy, you will be primarily accountable for ensuring that the organisation operates within the relevant legal, regulatory, and good practice frameworks, including ESFA regulations. The role involves supporting the Board of Directors and the executive team, senior management, and external regulatory bodies to provide best practice in governance, policies, risk management, and compliance. Other parts of the role would involve supporting the schools with complaints and exclusions.
The role is part-time (22.25 hours per week), term time plus five inset days (39 weeks per year). The role will require being on site once a week and attendance at Board meetings which are generally held on teams in the evenings.
Reporting into the central team this new role is key to the organisation as they continue to develop and grow within challenging times for the education sector.
