The Company: We are partnering with a leading international engineering business, known for its high-quality power solutions and strong commitment to employee development. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Service Engineer to join their team, focusing on commissioning, servicing, and maintaining critical power systems across the UK.
The Role:
- Commissioning of new power equipment at client sites.
- Servicing and preventive maintenance of installed assets.
- Troubleshooting and repairs on-site, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Customer Training: Providing basic operational training to end-users.
- Database Updates: Maintaining service records in internal systems.
- On-Call Support: After training, participation in an emergency call-out rota (attracting additional daily payments).
Key Details:
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday (flexibility for paid overtime up to 500 hours per year)
- Car Allowance: £568 per month
- On-Call Payments: Weekdays: £21/day, Weekends and Bank Holidays: £41/day
- Pension: 8% employer contribution (plus a minimum 2% employee contribution)
- Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays (rising with long service milestones)
- Training: High-quality technical training provided, including opportunities for factory training abroad (Europe).
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering OR significant industry experience.
- Strong technical skills in electrical systems (commissioning, fault-finding, servicing).
- Good communication skills with a professional customer-facing attitude.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional international training visits.
- Full UK driving license.
- Fluent English essential.
