THE ROLE: The Commercial Accountant is a newly created position that will work closely with both the finance and commercial teams. Working very much as a finance business partner your role will involve data, financial and variance analysis on budgets and forecasts, provide the required financial information for marketing purposes and customer promotions, involvement in pricing and business modelling and perform a wide range of accounting duties utilising sound commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills.
THE CANDIDATE: You are not looking for a run of the mill accounting role. Your skills and experience are best used in a culture that inspires energy and where great communication skills result in confident relationship building right across a business. You want to work for a highly successful company where your input really makes a difference to the bottom line and with a team of professionals who value the financial information you provide. Ideally you might be a newly qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant or perhaps still studying for your professional qualification, however preferably you will have worked in a fast-paced organisation and a manufacturing background would be the icing on the cake. An excellent communicator at all levels, you meet deadlines through sound working relationships with colleagues. Previous use of ERP systems would be an advantage, competent Excel skills essential.
