We’re inviting all London school children aged 4 to 14 to take part in our annual competition to design the Mayor of London’s official Christmas card.

The theme

This year, we’re inviting pupils to design a card on the theme, 'A new dawn, a fresh hope'. We want your pupils to show scenes that highlight the special kind of hope that Christmas represents, including the stories and symbols that bring love, peace and light to the depths of winter.

The prize

The winning design will feature on the Mayor’s official Christmas card. It will also feature the winner’s first name, age, and school on the back of the card. The competition is supported by Cass Art, the UK’s leading independent art supplies retailer. The winner will be invited to the Mayor’s Christmas carol service event, receive a certificate, copies of the card to send to their friends and family, have their Christmas card personally signed by the Mayor, and a £100 Cass Art gift voucher. Additionally, the two highest praised entries will each receive a certificate and a £30 Cass Art gift voucher.

To participate, submit a photo or scanned image of your student’s design via our online entry form below. Remember to keep the original artwork, as it will be needed if your entry is selected as the winner. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, 10 November at 11:59 pm.
