Responsibilities About the team: Development & Structured Export Finance (DSE) is responsible for financing and advisory solutions to importers and exporters, focusing on exports, sustainable development, and energy transition. This includes advisory, structuring, and financing for sovereigns, corporates, financial institutions, and development banks. DSE also manages activities related to Export Credit Agencies and Public Institutions, working alongside other GLBA business lines for project and asset-based financing. The DSE London mission includes: Origination and execution of financing solutions mainly supported by UK Export Finance (“UKEF”), private insurers (“PRI”), and Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) like UKIB, for overseas buyers/borrowers and UK exporters; Execution of advisory and project finance mandates involving ECAs and other GLBA business lines under the Project Export Solution (“PES”); Managing relationships with UK-based clients, including origination and execution of ECA/PRI covered financing in collaboration with other DSE teams. Summary of Key Purposes of the Role: Support senior team members in originating and executing financing mainly supported by UKEF and UKDFIs for overseas borrowers and UK exporters; Support execution of advisory mandates and project finance deals involving ECAs and private insurance; Assist in maintaining and developing relationships with UKEF, UKIB, and DSE UK clients; Contribute to regular reporting and management information updates. Responsibilities: Participate in origination and execution of financings supported by UKEF and UKDFIs, coordinating with relevant bank departments; Utilize the GLBA Financing Platform for simulations and prepare necessary documentation such as KYC memos and credit applications; Contribute to the annual budget for DSE UK; Develop and maintain relationships with DSE UK clients and partners; Coordinate with the Head of DSE UK and senior team members on commercial coverage and client relationships; Monitor UKEF and UKIB strategies and communicate updates within DSE; Provide reports on activities, deals, and risks related to UKEF and UKIB financings; Assist in managing risks, operational, or administrative matters related to UKEF and UKIB; Support the development of new funding solutions aligned with DSE’s mission. Profile Required Technical: Understanding of the loan market, instruments, credit, and derivatives; Ability to generate clear, structured pitch materials; Capacity to manage conduct, reputational, financial, credit, and legal risks responsibly.
