Property Risk is a vital part of the Risk Community, working closely with Chartered Surveyors and Solicitors, dealing with property and legal queries.

We are looking for an individual with conveyancing or property valuation experience to ensure that cases are within our risk appetite. You will need to support and coach colleagues and uphold exemplary customer service standards.

At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working where possible. Our hybrid approach fosters rewarding relationships by bringing colleagues together across our UK estate and supporting generous home working options. We value in-office time for problem-solving, learning, and connection.

This role requires spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your part-time schedule, based at our Bournemouth office.

What you\’ll be doing

  1. Using your communication and analytical skills to liaise with in-house Chartered Surveyors and valuation suppliers on legal and property matters impacting security value or suitability.
  2. Ensuring the best outcomes for customers and society.
  3. Shadowing team members, conducting quality checks, and providing feedback and training.
  4. Supporting the team in the manager\’s absence and attending meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Using your initiative to solve problems and working collaboratively to resolve complex issues.
  6. Sharing knowledge and resources within the team, both in the office and via Teams.
  7. Receiving comprehensive training on property, systems, and processes to protect our customers and society.

About You

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive change and efficiency.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work autonomously and solve problems independently.
  • Innovative mindset and awareness of Property Risk market changes.
