Role Overview

As Store Manager for Whittard, you will create a welcoming environment with exceptional customer service and leadership. You will boost sales across the store and be rewarded with a generous bonus based on targets achieved, 33 days holiday, and investment in your professional development. Your role will champion the Whittard brand, growing it locally by encouraging your team to deliver customer service that keeps customers coming back. This role requires you to have a minimum of 3 years retail management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing and leading your team in first-class customer service.
  • Becoming an ambassador of the products, offering excellent knowledge and recommendations to customers, guiding them to their perfect purchase.
  • Monitoring store KPIs and implementing improvements where needed.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety, Food Safety, cash handling, delivery, and reporting processes are followed and reviewed.
  • Managing your team’s sickness absences, holiday, and performance.
  • Developing your team with long-term succession strategies, development plans, quarterly reviews, and providing on-the-spot feedback, while celebrating successes to increase employee engagement.
  • Managing the implementation of in-store visual merchandising in line with Whittard guidelines.
  • Providing feedback on best sellers and stock information to head office.

Previous retail management experience. Experience in developing and leading high-performing teams, managing in-store operations, and driving sales. Confident organizational skills. The ability to identify problems and provide solutions and improvements. Enthusiasm and interest in our products.
