Manager, Product Management, Acceptance Commercialisation

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Level 6 Product Manager with strong leadership, commercial skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset to develop and execute global commercialization plans for the Payment Passkeys product. Mastercard Payment Passkeys aim to enhance online checkout experiences through biometrics, aligning with Mastercard’s vision to reimagine online payments.

The successful candidate will evaluate opportunities for scaling Payment Passkeys globally, collaborate across global and regional stakeholders, and develop strategic plans for product commercialization and best practices dissemination. Since Passkeys is in pilot stage, the ability to incorporate customer feedback and prioritize product development for scaling is essential.

The ideal candidate is passionate about driving product growth, self-motivated, analytical, and capable of aligning execution with strategic priorities to maximize business benefits. Strong project management, consensus-building, and challenging norms are also expected.

Role

This position involves shared responsibility for achieving key performance indicators and executing strategies to rapidly scale Payment Passkeys. Responsibilities include:

  1. Becoming a global expert on the product, understanding its strategic role within Mastercard’s authentication and online checkout strategies.
  2. Developing and managing go-to-market and expansion plans in collaboration with global and regional teams, translating product vision into actionable plans based on commercial insights.
  3. Synthesizing customer insights to inform product development, focusing on developments that significantly impact commercial success and scalability.
  4. Refining the positioning of Passkeys within Mastercard’s broader authentication ecosystem, including products like Click to Pay and Secure Card on File.
  5. Helping senior management understand product performance, identifying obstacles, and devising solutions.
  6. Managing product reporting, KPIs, and business review processes with global and regional teams.
  7. Understanding and articulating challenges related to scaling across customer, technical, and regulatory areas.
  8. Serving as a subject matter expert, providing support and training to internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Using data-driven insights to identify opportunities, influence product roadmap, and prioritize development efforts.
  10. Creating educational and promotional materials for internal and external audiences to drive Passkey adoption.
  11. Developing customer pipelines and understanding broader payment ecosystem factors like regulatory and technological environments.
  12. Leveraging Mastercard’s business knowledge to inform decision-making.

  • Possess interpersonal skills and a track record of building relationships in virtual environments.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Leverage data effectively to generate insights and craft compelling narratives.
  • Be familiar with collaborating with merchants, payment service providers, and gateways.
