We are recruiting on behalf of our aviation client for a Senior Powerplant Engineer position based in the UK-Wales, offering a hybrid work environment. This is a permanent role within the Fleet Management Team, focusing on engine-related activities and project management. Key Responsibilities Act as virtual powerplant manager for airline/lessor clients. Manage fleet planning and maintenance cost forecasting. Optimize removal planning and engine disposition. Implement cost reduction initiatives. Perform Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) and Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM) tracking & reporting. Manage engine shop visit events, including scope compilation, oversight, and documentation. Negotiate service agreements with OEM and MRO suppliers. Review and negotiate engine lease, sale, and purchase contracts from a technical perspective. Support new engine selection processes. Manage engine transition including records audit and physical inspections. Draft technical reports and manage technical documentation. Mentor and support other Powerplant engineers and consultants. Support new business development. Attend OEM technical conferences. Qualifications / Requirements Minimum 10 years\’ experience in a powerplant-focused role. Degree qualification preferred. Experience in airline powerplant management preferred. Strong knowledge of CFM, P&W, GE, IAE, and RR engines. Commercial and financial acumen. Proficiency in MS Office. Project management skills. Self-motivated and quality-driven. Excellent communication skills. Additional Information This role may require frequent international travel with short notice.
