Weβre seeking 4 Construction Delivery Managers to oversee overhead line plant replacement and automation programmes across regional areas within the SEPD patch. Responsibilities include managing multiple construction teams, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient project delivery from LV to 33kV. This role involves managing safety, productivity, and monthly forecasting to meet annual volume and financial targets. You will support the L3 Construction Manager to drive performance, ensure safety compliance, and deliver asset health, maintenance, and investment programmes valued at Β£40β100m over ED2. You will lead an integrated team, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure customer focus, commercial control, and collaboration. Strong leadership, communication, and a safety-first mindset are essential.
You Will
- Safety Leadership & Culture: Champion a safety-first culture by training, authorising, and supervising staff and contractors, and driving SHE performance and compliance.
- Project & Portfolio Management: Lead end-to-end delivery of system asset projects, ensuring timely, viable, and aligned with KPIs and RIIO ED2 obligations.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage, coach, and empower operational teams and contractors to deliver high performance, ensuring compliance and development.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality interactions and visibility of project progress.
- Operational & Emergency Readiness: Oversee resource planning, storm/emergency response, standby duties, and ensure timely restoration during incidents.
You Have
- Extensive Utility Construction Delivery Experience: Proven track record in overhead line replacement, automation programmes, and multi-voltage projects within a regulated utility environment.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading operational and technical teams, fostering safety and high performance.
- SHE & Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of SHE standards, SSEN Safety Management Systems, and governance frameworks.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to assess project value, manage budgets, and deliver cost-effective outcomes.
- Project & Stakeholder Management: Skilled in planning, executing, and closing complex projects with stakeholder engagement.
