They are now looking to expand the team by recruiting a Yield Engineering Manager, an Integration Manager or an Integration Engineer ready to step into their first managerial role to provide leadership and direction to the yield and integration team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and qualify new production technologies aligned with long-term technical roadmaps
  • Lead engineering efforts in process integration, ensuring alignment between design, development, and manufacturing functions
  • Manage and coach a team of engineers focussed on driving process integration and continuous yield improvement across technologies
  • Monitor and report line and die yield trends, using data insights to support improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain detailed yield pareto analyses to identify top loss drivers and reduce scrap
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities to resolve process integration challenges and enhance production stability
  • Coordinate gate stage reviews to ensure new technologies progress through development milestones efficiently
  • Work with quality, production, and engineering teams to detect, contain, and resolve process deviations
  • Define and track department KPIs to meet internal performance goals and external customer expectations
  • Foster a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with EH&S standards and encouraging continuous improvement
  • Oversee budget planning and resource allocation to support engineering capabilities while maintaining cost discipline
  • Promote lean manufacturing and cost-reduction strategies within engineering operations
  • Using tools such as 8D to identify root cause and counter, 5Ys, Ishikawa, Pareto, PPS, SPC, DoE (Design of Experiments), FMEA and DFMEA
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Role Experience: Yield and Integration Manager, an Integration Manager or an Integration Engineer stepping up into a Managerial role
  • Education: Need to have a background in materials science, physics, electrical and electronic chemistry
  • Need to understand a semiconductor or a related field, such as below;
  • Product or Market Experience: RF & Microwave Electronics, Hard Disk Drives (HDDs)/external storage arrays, Semiconductor or Academia
  • Ideally, you will have managed, led or supervised teams and demonstrate a dynamic and proactive approach to your work
  • Based in or willing to relocate to County Durham
