As a Business Analyst, you will:
As a Business Analyst within Insurance Technology you will be responsible for the delivery of business process analysis, requirements elicitation management and design across the software delivery lifecycle. We are specifically looking for someone with deep experience in policy administration and associated systems such as Guidewire PolicyCentre to support core platform transformations with our clients.
The following skills and experience are essential for this role:
- Experience and knowledge about the end-to-end lifecycle of insurance policies, including quoting, underwriting, issuance, renewals, and billing.
- Expertise in policy administration systems.
- Experience of Guidewire Policy Centre (minimum 2 years).
- London Markets insurance experience would be distinct advantage.
- Demonstrate an ability to confidently and effectively manage relationships and delivery across internal and external stakeholders.
- Confident, accurate and clear communicator comfortable with reporting upwards.
- Demonstrate an ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Can demonstrate an understanding of and practical experience with either an Agile or Waterfall delivery methodology.
- Experience in delivery of business analysis and requirement management across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Experience in utilising one or more structured techniques for requirements elicitation and refinement such as Observation, Interviews, Workshops or Prototyping.
- Experience in analysing data to infer conclusions.
- Experience in functional / solution design and proficient in utilising one or more structured techniques for solution design such as Design Thinking, UML or BPMN.
- The ability to understand business change needs, and can assess the business impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Experience in utilising one or more tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel.
Set yourself apart:
- Experience of leading BA teams and managing junior BA resources.
- Demonstrable experience in functional and non-functional analysis and design.
- Proven history of working within a complex and diverse delivery environment.
- Experience/certifications/credentials in any of the following:
- Industry specialisms: London Markets Insurance, General Insurance, Leading policy administration systems such as Guidewire Policy Centre.
- General specialisms: Agile methodology (ie SAFe, Scrum), Process Improvement (ie Lean Six Sigma), Design Thinking.
