Join our team at A2Dominion based in Northwood, North West London as a Sheltered Retirement Housing Scheme Manager. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a customer-facing role, good admin skills, and a background in housing, care, or support services. The ideal candidate will be empathetic and understand the needs of the elderly and vulnerable.
SALARY: £25,148 - £29,119 FTE + Generous Benefits
LOCATION: Northwood, North West London (HA6)
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm
JOB OVERVIEW: This isn’t just a tick-box housing job. As a Sheltered Retirement Housing Scheme Manager, you’re at the heart of where the organisation makes the biggest impact in people’s homes and communities. The organisation’s schemes support older and vulnerable residents to live independently with dignity, and you’ll make that happen by keeping the service safe, connected, and genuinely welcoming.
DUTIES:
- Health & Safety and Fire Checks: Stay on top of compliance with tight records and zero chasing.
- Viewings, Sign-ups and Move-ins: Support new residents from day one so they feel clued-up and confident.
- Managing Move-outs: Work with lettings and contractors to minimise voids and maintain standards.
- Resident Support: Use tools like ILPs and risk assessments to tailor the right support, with dignity at the core.
- Safeguarding: Know what to look for and take swift, appropriate action when needed.
- Community Life: Support residents to shape their own social lives and wellbeing activities.
- ASB Handling: Address any issues firmly but fairly, supporting those affected and setting clear expectations.
- DBS Compliance: Keep accurate records for everyone entering the scheme, from contractors to volunteers.
- Partnership Working: Liaise with care providers, GPs, social services, and families to keep it all joined up.
- Money Matters: Help residents access the benefits they’re entitled to and avoid arrears.
- Being the go-to: Be the first port of call for residents, families, and professionals alike.
