Purpose of the Job

To effectively maintain an ordering pattern that provides sufficient stock levels for a variable demand product portfolio and meets targets for product availability and stock holding value. Additionally, to support the business in sourcing and re-sourcing products that add value, while providing quick and accurate responses to queries from all areas.

Main Duties/Responsibilities and Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Key Duties:

• Continuously monitor stock levels, place and expedite appropriate purchase orders (DIRECTS, STOCK & SPECIALS).
• Ensure timely direct deliveries and up-to-date invoicing. Address delivery issues with the Customer Care Team.
• Take immediate corrective action for backorders or potential supply issues.
• Provide forecast demand data to key suppliers.
• Respond daily to sorting hat queries.
• Maintain lead time and delivery date information in relevant systems.
• Identify opportunities for spot buying or re-sourcing to reduce costs.
• Monitor SKUs to ensure compliance with stock policies and correct segmentation.
• Manage Pre-Purchase questionnaires (PPQ).

KPI\’s & Measures:

• Stock availability for product lines: A & B 100%, C & D 97%, E & F 95%.
• Corrective actions on backorders within 24 hours.
• Up-to-date stock and delivery information.
• Sorting hat responses within 24 hours.
