The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will work closely with the Digital Learning Manager to design, develop, and implement self-led online digital training content. Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders across the business, you will design and create online training content to support customers, partners and staff across a variety of IRIS software products.

Work collaboratively with the Digital Learning Manager, IRIS Digital Training Centre Team, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in defining course objectives and scope.

  • Design and develop engaging online training content with clear learning aims that meets the organisation's business objectives.
  • Create and write instructional content for self-paced online courses, including clear and concise instructional copy, audio scripts, and supporting materials.
  • Capture and edit screenshots, screencasts, and videos to visually demonstrate key concepts and processes.
  • Coordinate with video editors and graphic designers to ensure all visual, audio, and multimedia elements adhere to the organisation's branding and quality standards.
  • Design and develop knowledge learning checks and assessments and ensure that the evaluations accurately measure the learner's knowledge and understanding of the content.
  • Load, test and organise content into structured learning pathways on the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Collect and analyse data to continuously assess course effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Use data from learner feedback, assessments, and other metrics to identify areas for improvement and suggest changes to enhance the learning experience.
  • Follow style guide standards to create training content catering to a varying degree of system knowledge.
  • Develop new standards where required to ensure the team has a consistent approach going forward.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously to ensure continuity of work while waiting on reviews from SMEs and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and other stakeholders to ensure that the e-learning content is delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Peer review content from across the Digital Training Centre to contribute to standardisation and quality assurance.
  • Keep abreast of system enhancements to ensure e-learning material is up-to-date and relevant for its purpose.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks or projects which support IRIS business needs and are within the postholder's capabilities.

Person Specification - Knowledge, Skills & Experience required

  • Previous experience in creating and developing digital e-learning content.
  • Proven work experience in a SaaS environment and familiarity with LMS platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate advanced/technical concepts succinctly and in a digestible format.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with video capture software (such as TechSmith Camtasia or Adobe Captivate) and content authoring tools (Articulate 360 or Rise).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated team player with high learning agility.
  • Experience in course Instructional Design is desirable.
  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) is desirable.
