Job Description:

  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Materials Planners, fostering their continuous growth and development.
  • Share proven strategies and serve as a knowledgeable resource in Materials Planning within the business unit.
  • Use the MPS/MRP feature in the ERP system to facilitate materials planning and ordering.
  • Handle key item settings in the ERP system to ensure accurate system functionality.
  • Monitor and reconcile exception messages.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage material delivery dates and optimize production plans.
  • Recognize and report backorders or supplier performance issues to the Procurement Team.
  • Provide accurate component forecasts and support strategic sourcing processes.
  • Generate inventory projections and reporting for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
  • Contribute to Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations and Manufacturing Planning to optimize schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate with various departments to minimize schedule changes within the frozen window.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Support expansion and harmonization projects.
  • Provide backup support for other team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Procurement, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis using Excel.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing concepts, finite scheduling, product flow, and supply chain planning.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP and APS systems (Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE, M2M, server-based systems).
  • Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher).
