Our cutting-edge SailGP Technologies Next Gen Career Program, developed in partnership with South Hampshire College Group, will provide hands-on training and industry-leading expertise to aspiring boatbuilders, composite engineers and other specialist roles, equipping you with the skills needed to work on SailGP’s revolutionary F50 catamarans - the fastest and most technologically advanced racing boats in the world.
Working at our facility in Hedge-end, Southampton, you’ll be working towards gaining your Level 3 Boatbuilding Apprenticeship, equipping you to further develop your career in the future.
Who are we? SailGP Technologies began as the high performance design, engineering and manufacturing arm of SailGP, the global close-to-shore, high speed, high tech racing series like no other. Our constantly evolving design, composites engineering, software and data expertise is rooted in decades of experience at the forefront of cutting-edge sail racing. Previously established and located in New Zealand since 2001, SailGP Technologies relocated to Southampton, UK in Spring 2024 at our new state of the art facility, ensuring that we continue to lead the way in high-performance applied innovation.
Eligibility And Qualifications
- Individuals ready to embark on gaining a Level 3 Boatbuilding Apprenticeship in partnership with Southampton College Group.
- 18+ years of age.
- GCSE English and maths grade 4-9 (or Level 2 functional skills) required.
- Able to travel and work from SailGP Technologies for a minimum of 30 hours per week (Unit 1, Strategic Park, Comines Way, Hedge End, Southampton SO30 4DA).
- Able to travel to attend Southampton College, Southampton College Group one or two days per week.
- Available to start in July 2025.
