Job Description
LanguageLine’s UK operation is part of the worldwide LanguageLine Solutions group, with global headquarters in California and European headquarters in London. Over 40 years, we have provided industry-leading interpreting and translation services.
Main Job Purpose
As a Client Account Manager, you will develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to meet their needs, enhance the client experience, retain their business, and grow existing accounts.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts.
- Proactively and reactively communicate with clients, address concerns, and resolve conflicts.
- Meet clients regularly via face-to-face or video calls to understand their business needs and expectations.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct account reviews to manage expectations, improve service standards, and liaise with operational teams on performance issues.
- Identify growth opportunities through account penetration and awareness expansion.
- Explore cross-selling and additional service opportunities within existing accounts.
- Support bid management in re-tender processes.
- Maintain client records and activities in CRM (Salesforce).
- Promote our competitive advantages and new products.
- Act as a LanguageLine Solutions ambassador.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and report data security incidents.
- Perform other duties as appropriate.
Person Specification
Essential
- Proven experience as an Account Manager or similar role.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
Desirable
- Degree or postgraduate qualifications in sales or marketing.
This role is subject to a basic DBS Disclosure.
