School of Health Sciences
Background: The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful faculty, known for partnership working across the health and social care sector. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses leading to registration in nursing, midwifery, and allied health professions. The Post: We have several posts available. Staff at the Medway Campus will not receive London weighting allowance. We seek experienced paramedic practitioners/educators committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Applications from those keen to develop their teaching skills, with experience as a practice assessor or similar, are welcome. The role is open to Paramedics with broad practitioner and/or teaching experience, registered with HCPC. Responsibilities include facilitating teaching, learning, research, and knowledge exchange, providing an excellent student experience, and promoting diversity and inclusion. Part-time working and secondments from ambulance service staff are considered.
The Person: You should have a passion for education, a desire to see students succeed, and ambition. Opportunities include completing a PGCHE, progressing through the GOLD framework to HEA senior fellowship, and contributing to research and knowledge exchange. There may also be opportunities for doctoral studies. The university offers a career framework with promotion opportunities.
