A new vacancy for a dynamic Foreign Rights Executive has opened within literary agency Peters Fraser and Dunlop. PFD is expanding its prestigious classics and estates department, and this appointment will enable the agency to maximise the many international publishing opportunities inherent within the growing catalogue of clients and properties, including major brand estates Georges Simenon, Margery Allingham, Rebecca West, CS Forester, William Saroyan, Mervyn Peake, and Eric Ambler.

The candidate will report to the International Rights Director and Director of Estates and will be responsible for finding creative new publishing opportunities across the world in specific territories, and for maximising revenue potential within these areas. They will develop a comprehensive international strategy based on research and analysis, and they will build a global network of contacts in all related fields. They will be adept at pitching books and will be keen to travel to book fairs to meet publishers.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years' international rights sales experience, relevant to estates, and be able to demonstrate a knowledge of international markets and publishers, and most importantly an entrepreneurial flair and enthusiastic spirit. Salary on application.
