The Freeths Infrastructure and Major Projects Team advises clients throughout the project lifecycle across sectors such as Regeneration, Infrastructure, Transport, Warehousing & Logistics, Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Clean Energy, Waste & Sustainability. The team has handled some of the largest and most complex transactions, working with:
- Combined authorities and local authorities
- Universities and Colleges
- Other public bodies
- Equity investors
- Developers
- Contractors
Recently, the team has grown significantly, winning major projects and attracting prominent clients. Freeths' modern approach, especially in sectors like clean energy, banking, digital, and telecoms, combined with a focus on technology and investment, makes it an attractive workplace.
The role is flexible regarding location, based in any of our 13 offices across England and Scotland. We seek ambitious Projects and Infrastructure lawyers with experience in domestic and international projects, ideally with synergies in development and transactional project management, particularly in clean energy and transport sectors. Clients include global manufacturers, retailers, developers, and major builders.
The successful candidate will contribute to departmental growth and business development, with experience in:
- PFI/PPP contract management (variations, refinancing, asset management, expiry, and hand back)
- PFI/PPP secondary market transactions
- Infrastructure M&A
- Advising on commercial contracts within the infrastructure sector
- Projects and transactions in renewables/net zero sectors (solar, wind, battery storage, energy from waste, EV, bioenergy, offshore transmission, district heating)
