Based: Southampton Salary: £50,000 DOE Plus Benefits (4 Days In Office, Friday WFH) Financial Controller required for a fast-growing IT Business based in the Southampton Area. Fast-growing venture capital business investing in SMEs and start-ups with 80 employees at present, with a portfolio spread across IT, Fintech, SAAS, AI, and online Pharma. The directors expect revenue to increase from approximately £10m to approximately £50m within 3 years. The company now wishes to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a permanent, office-based role. It offers an excellent opportunity to join the business at a critical time. Specifications Qualified Accountant / Similar Experience Experience in contracted revenue business Commercial responsibility and delivery needed Strong character: used to managing cash flow and dealing with suppliers and other creditors Up-to-date technical knowledge Liaising with and reporting to banks, auditors, external investors, and directors Key Responsibilities Timely reporting of accounts and KPIs Management of existing finance team (6 people), including order processing, credit control, and billing functions Review the adequacy of current accounting and billing systems and implement updates if required Take control of acquired businesses and ensure consistent accounting procedures Develop monthly management accounts and MI, including financial modelling, project appraisals, and scenario planning Financial modelling experience Experience Needed Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience with Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks; future rationalization of platforms needed Good people management skills, with experience managing a small team Able to multi-task and handle a broad range of detailed and strategic tasks Ability to work effectively under speed and pressure, maintaining attention to detail Good business acumen and convincing communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines Charismatic personality to mentor and support the finance team Ensure robust cash flow management and forecasting Develop and maintain relationships with other department heads for full visibility of activities Perform ad hoc analysis and modelling as required by senior management #J-18808-Ljbffr
