Senior Site Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join our team in a key commercial role, working on a large construction project in South Devon.

Kier Construction has a thriving business in the South West, delivering projects within healthcare, education, local authority, commercial, and leisure sectors. As a leading main contractor in the area, we pride ourselves on our commitment to the region and our capability to deliver high-value, technically complex projects that benefit local communities.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Site Manager, you\’ll work within the Site Team, supporting projects that develop and benefit local communities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring the safe delivery of construction works on site.
2. Maintaining quality standards in line with Kier standards through supervision of subcontractors and staff.
3. Delivering site operational targets according to the project programme.
4. Addressing emerging challenges on site and directing teams to carry out works efficiently, safely, and to standard.
5. Keeping the Project Manager informed of site issues promptly and assisting in their resolution.

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you:

• Have experience managing sites on large projects within a main contractor environment.
• Hold relevant construction qualifications (HND/Degree/SVQ) or technical trade certifications.
• Possess certifications such as SMSTS 5-Day, CSCS Card, and First Aid.
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of work.
