Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Servicing the blowing machines / Fault finding
- Setting up and running all downstream equipment e.g. airveyors, laners, robots / Support the Production Manager
- Take ownership of GMP and health and safety issues in the manufacturing area / Flexible to support colleagues
- Completion of Asset Care Tasks / Condition Monitoring Tasks
- Drive/support improvement projects within the blow moulding area
- Support for annual overhaul activity
- Train and develop colleagues in processing, fault finding and repair within the blow moulding area
- Mentor Apprentices
Necessary Qualities:
- Experience of Krones and Sidel blow moulding machines
- Change Management for material distribution, weights, dims etc.
- Willingness to learn / βCan-doβ attitude
- Able to motivate and train others
- Able to understand and work to deadlines & under pressure
- Knowledge of mould/tooling change procedures and steps/methods for line changes
- Proficient in the use of engineering tools
- Management on machine operating efficiencies
- Can overhaul machine parts including low/high pressure valves
- Experience of mechanical engineering in a blow moulding environment ideally a time served Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship (C&G, SVQ or equivalent)
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults
- PLC β programming, fault finding, control panel wiring
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
- Ability to fault find to component level
- Can work in a team or independently / Computer literate
