Our client is a niche firm specialising in the defence of serious crime. They are a modern and dynamic firm, embracing the latest technology and cutting-edge practices in their pursuit of excellence. They pride themselves on thorough and robust defence case preparation, working hard to formulate novel points to enable them to articulate powerful and compelling submissions on behalf of those they represent.
The firm benefits from a talented team of some of the best Solicitors, who are eminent within their profession. They are continually expanding and are now seeking to develop their team further by adding Criminal Duty Solicitors, preferably with LAA Crime Category Supervisor status, to supervise, manage, and lead a team. The successful candidate will manage a heavy caseload of very serious offences and proactively lead and manage a team of highly dedicated lawyers.
Responsibilities include:
- Police station attendances both in and outside office hours
- Court appearances for advocacy at first hearings, interim hearings, and trials
- Meticulous case preparation and litigation
- Supervising other Criminal Duty Solicitors and allocating their work while ensuring compliance with the 2022 Standard Crime Contract
