Role Purpose
To create Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation designs in line with client specifications. To procure and manage relevant specialist work packages required to meet project requirements.
What you’ll be doing
- Design LV electrical distribution systems (HV experience desired but not essential).
- Design of cable containment/support systems.
- Willingness to undergo necessary security clearances (BPSS/SC).
- Experience working in nuclear environments and understanding associated governance.
- Create and manage documentation such as specifications, datasheets, cable calculations, reports, plans, drawings, change requests, and commissioning reports.
- Review manufacturer documents for compliance with project specifications.
- Provide HR and technical authority to direct reports and support technical reviews.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, technical consultants, and suppliers.
- Mentor engineers, graduates, and trainees within your team.

- Be proficient in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign.
- Focus on collaboration and building relationships with other designers and project teams.
- Have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Possess knowledge of codes of practice and regulatory materials.
