As CPG Senior Industry Manager, you will grow revenue by defining, launching and driving the CPG food & beverages business in the UK. We’re looking for a high-performing candidate with experience building advertising/media sales teams, passion for solving ambiguous problems, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functionally and globally. Our advertising business is thriving, our user base continues to grow, and we believe the impact of this role can fuel our company to grow in unprecedented ways.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a group of high performing Senior Client Partner and Client Account Managers in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, focusing on Food & Beverages reporting to the CPG Industry Director to grow Pinterest sales revenue.
- Build strong relationships externally with senior level decision makers, clients and agencies.
- Drive thought leadership in the UK F&B Industry.
- Build strategy and action plan for the F&B industry, both for short term and long term success.
- Drive operational excellence across key metrics.
- Track, analyse, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends to senior leadership as they relate to your team\’s client partnerships.
- Achieve revenue targets through effective planning, setting sales goals, analysing data on past performance, and projecting future performance.
- Grow, train and lead a diverse, high performing team with a strong inclusive culture to support emerging and established clients.
- Work cross-regionally and cross-functionally to build cohesive partnerships with peers and internal stakeholders, including product, sales operations, and marketing.
What we’re looking for:
- 15+ years of business experience comprising the following skills: a) Experience in advertising sales in the technology sector b) Experience in advertising sales in the media agency sector c) CPG sales or marketing expertise.
- An established network in the UK market preferably in the CPG Food & Beverages industry & media agency.
- An experienced people manager with both experience of managing individual contributors and ideally managers required.
- Has a strong understanding of what drives media decisions.
- Has strong knowledge of media and advertising KPIs and language.
- Demonstrates experience of commercial acumen & analytical mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence effectively.
- Remains objective and calm while taking a forward-thinking approach when faced with adversity. Grows from hardships, difficult experiences and setbacks. Manages crises and volatile situations effectively.
- Thrives in a dynamic and results focused high performing environment. Shows sufficient comfort with ambiguity and change; resolves escalations and keeps people and projects moving forward.
