The Workforce Identities Engineering team within the Identity and Access Management function of Core Engineering is looking for an experienced Active Directory systems engineer. This position will work with a global team responsible for the architecture, design, and development of systems supporting both on-premises and cloud-hosted Active Directory environments for Goldman Sachs. The Active Directory infrastructure supports a wide range of services requiring high availability and performance in a secure environment. The role involves designing, engineering, and deploying solutions to ensure the security and resiliency of the Active Directory platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with infrastructure teams
- Managing systems lifecycle
- Evaluating solutions for improvements
- Vendor management
- Industry analysis
- Product benchmarking
- Contributing to standards and tools promotion
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of managing Active Directory infrastructures and experience with Single Sign-On and Federated Identity projects in medium to large enterprises.

- Experience with business continuity, recovery, and security hardening for AD environments
- Experience with integrating solutions like Exchange, Entra ID, Office 365, AD Certificate Services, and management tools
- Protocol expertise in LDAP, Kerberos, and IPSec
- Knowledge of Identity Management, SSO, and Federated Identity principles
- Proficiency in PowerShell development and testing
- Understanding of secure environment design and SDLC best practices
- Ability to handle multiple projects and high workflow
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a global environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ADLDS instances
- Knowledge of Identity Management products like Microsoft Identity Manager
- Familiarity with PowerShell testing frameworks like Pester
- Experience with Microsoft Azure security, management, and monitoring solutions
