Family Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the West Community CAMHS Team to expand their offer of Family Support Workers within the team.

The team works across two main bases which are in Mansfield and Ashfield.

The Community CAMHS West team offers a service to children, young people, and their families within North Nottinghamshire, which consists of Mansfield, Ashfield & Hucknall areas.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of nurses, psychologists, CBT therapists, peer support workers, family support workers, psychiatrists and social workers.

You will be expected to deliver (under supervision), a range of evidence based interventions for children, young people and families. This will include group work, individual work and parenting interventions. You will be expected to work alongside the already established family support worker team, to identify suitable young people for interventions and manage the waiting list, prioritising treatment dependant on needs, using a range of flexible interventions. You will deliver outcome-focused and time limited interventions for children and young people and families experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
