This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 3 days minimum per week in the office. The Associate is a member of Sales Enablement within HarbourVest’s Client Experience team. The function is to own the Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFI), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ) and related prospective investor requests including, but not limited to, consultant updates, follow-up questionnaires and fundraising inquiries.

The candidate is someone who is:

  • Highly analytical with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Demonstrates strong institutional and investment background (alternative investment or private wealth background a plus).
  • Brings excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Consistent track record to lead multiple projects, strong diligence and thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to think critically and draws from resources to build simple, unified, and persuasive output.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.

What you will do:

  • Work with functional teams to coordinate formal inquiries from prospective investors.
  • Serve as project lead and facilitate kick-off meetings, communicate key tasks, using approved content, and coordinate with essential team members to complete the prospective investor requests.
  • Responsible for RFPs, RFIs, due diligence requests and other client related requests including consultant portals and fundraising inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Compliance to ensure responses follow SEC marketing guidelines, when applicable.
  • Provide Sales Enablement support for Investor Relations for the Firm's global offices.
  • Collaborate with internal functional teams (including, but not limited to investments, operations, legal/compliance, etc.) as appropriate to respond to various investor inquiries.
  • And other responsibilities as required.

What you bring:

  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and RFP software is a plus.
  • Institutional investment management, private equity or private wealth experience is a plus.
  • Prior marketing or sales support roles.

Education Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3-5 Years experience in investment management/private equity/private wealth/marketing/RFP capacity preferred.
