Job Description:

Assala Energy is a dynamic Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company committed to the sustainable development of its assets in Gabon. We value a collaborative approach, promote diversity, and prioritize safety and integrity in all our operations.

We are seeking a SharePoint/Microsoft 365 Consultant to provide services to our IT Services team (6 months Contract). The consultant will develop a wide range of applications and business processes based on the Microsoft M365 stack, utilizing their knowledge of SharePoint Online development and other M365 applications to enhance our SharePoint infrastructure.

The consultant will gather requirements from stakeholders and translate these into functional systems to improve business efficiency and user experience.

Scope of Work

The consultant will provide the following services:

• Development and Support:
• Design, develop, configure, and implement SharePoint Online applications using SPFx, CSOM, and SharePoint REST.
• Create and maintain custom SharePoint Online sites and solutions.
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Manage site content and portal maintenance.

• Power Platform Expertise:
• Utilize Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI for enterprise applications.
• Follow best practices and standards.

• Communication and Training:
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Train users across different levels.
• Document requirements and solutions.

• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure information access is restricted to authorized personnel.
• Work with cybersecurity team on SharePoint security issues.

• Support and Reporting:
• Handle ServiceNow support tickets.
• Prepare monthly performance reports for the IT Director.

• Additional Services:
• Experience with SharePoint’s application services like Search, Managed Metadata, User Profile Services.
• Knowledge of third-party tools such as Sharegate.

Further scope and deliverables will be discussed during a technical validation meeting. This is a contract opportunity subject to IR35 compliance.

Requirements

Profile of the Consultant

• Proven experience in developing and supporting SharePoint Online environments.
• Strong background with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and high-quality deliverables.
• Experience with ServiceNow environments is a plus.
