Your Role And Responsibilities
We are seeking a Technical Consultant with experience in application development on both IBM Mainframe and modern platforms such as Linux or Windows. This role involves testing and troubleshooting issues from migrating Mainframe applications from COBOL to Micro Focus COBOL. Knowledge of JCL and CICS is required; understanding of IDMS, ADS, MQ, or DB2 is advantageous. Experience with Assembler is a plus but not essential.

Preferred Education
Bachelor\’s Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of IBM mainframe application or system development experience
• Excellent COBOL programming and debugging skills
• Familiarity with database design and implementation (DB2, IDMS, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Knowledge of JCL, CICS, MQ, DB2, IDMS, SQL Server, or Micro Focus COBOL is advantageous
• Experience with Windows and Linux development and deployment

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Assembler experience is an advantage
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and presentation
• Comfortable in a customer-facing role
