FJA are recruiting an experienced Drainage Depot Manager on behalf of a leading independent provider of road sweeping and waste management services. Essex, primarily based at the depot, with occasional site visits.

The Drainage Depot Manager oversees daily depot operations, ensuring efficient team management, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
Drainage Depot Manager responsibilities:
- Depot Management: Oversee efficient depot operations, maintain facilities and equipment, and ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulations.
- Staff Management: Lead and support the team, manage schedules and performance, and handle recruitment and onboarding as needed. Oversee scheduling, monitor job progress and quality, and coordinate emergency or after-hours responses.
- Financial Management: Manage depot budgets, track costs, and report on financial performance, KPIs, and productivity. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, maintain accurate records, and provide regular operational and financial reports to management.
Drainage Depot Manager requirements:
- Proven experience in depot, operations, or site management, ideally within drainage, construction, utilities, or similar industries.
- Knowledge of drainage systems, equipment (such as jetting and CCTV survey equipment), and emergency response procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
- Valid driving license (required; HGV license beneficial but not essential).
- NVQ or relevant qualification in Drainage or Civil Engineering (desirable).
